The creative collaboration with friend composer Alessandro Ponti was to me, by far, one of the most exciting parts. An unfortunate product of my being intensively anal about the music (my infinite love for it translates into a particularly meticulous approach, which Alessandro kindly and patiently allowed me to perform while making his way towards his brilliant final score) is the discard of this lovely folk piece. Though successfully embodying the many conversations we had about style and influences, we eventually felt that ending reprising the main theme would have been more appropriate and somehow consistent to the philosophy (so to speak, don't take this literally) behind the story—we do change, but not really—and therefore a perfect ironic, bittersweet completion.
